Steve Kerr, seven-time NBA champion and noted gun-control advocate, joined “The Damon Bruce Show” for his weekly conversation and addressed his involvement in Monday’s town hall discussion at Newark Memorial High School.

Kerr’s top takeaway from the event, which focused on curbing gun violence, was that the kids are on the rise.

“What’s coming is this young generation of kids who are sick and tired of so-called grownups not showing any concern for their safety,” Kerr said on 95.7 The Game. “I think what’s coming is this generation is going to be voting and they’re going to pick candidates who it doesn’t matter — Republican or Democrat — it doesn’t matter.”

“But the candidates will have to show concern for the gun violence and the mass murder that happens in this country routinely and that they have to get some legislation done and do something.”

“This young generation is angry and they’re coming. And people better start doing something.”
