
Bay Area Sports Fans Compete to become an On-Air Host on the Station

“We saw a ton of great talent in the Bay Area last year so we had to bring Lucky Break back for 2013," said Program Director Jason Barrett of 95.7 The GAME. "Lucky Break is a chance to win one of the best jobs in the world: becoming a sports radio talk show host.”
LIVE SHOW
The 16 semi-finalists will compete head-to-head live on the radio, beginning Tuesday, March 5th from 7:00-9:00pm and continuing every Tuesday through the Lucky Break Finale Show on Thursday, April 4th. We'll be live every week from Pedro's Cantina (128 King Street) in San Francisco!

VOTING
Once the live shows begin, you will vote on who gets saved each week during 95.7 The GAME's Lucky Break. Voting will be done via SMS Text message and Twitter.
ABOUT LUCKY BREAK
Lucky Break consists of four (4) open auditions to be held at various locations around the Bay Area in February 2013. Semi-finalists will be chosen at each location by our team of judges (see below) and the Top 16 will move on to the live shows in March and April. One lucky winner will get their Lucky Break and the chance to be a sports talk show host on 95.7 The GAME.
Contestants will be coached by 95.7 The GAME’s Dan Dibley from The Rise Guys and Chris Townsend from Bucher & Towny.
Judges for the auditions will include include 95.7 The GAME Program Director Jason Barrett, GAME airstaff, and Producers.
Judges for the live show will include Barrett, John Lund (Host of The Wheelhouse), and celebrity athletes from local Bay Area sports teams. Celebrity Judges for Lucky Break 1 included:

Lucky Break 1 Top 16 entrant Zakariah Slenderbrook was also hired by 95.7 The GAME and can be heard weekends on 95.7 The GAME and filling in as a Sports Update Anchor. Both Guru and Zakariah will remain with the station.
AUDITIONS
95.7 The GAME Open Auditions will take place at the following locations:
- Tuesday, February 5th – Halftime Sports Bar in Oakland (316 14th Street), 7:00-9:00pm
- Tuesday, February 12th – Dan’s Irish Bar (1524 Civic Dr.) in Walnut Creek, 7:00-9:00pm
- Tuesday, February 19th – First Street Alehouse (2106 First St.) in Livermore, 7:00-9:00pm
- Tuesday, February 26th – Zone 8 Sports Bar inside Casino M8trix (1887 Matrix Blvd) in San Jose, 7:00-9:00pm
