Following a report from Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated claiming head coach Steve Kerr "may" return for Sunday's Game 2 of the NBA Finals, acting head coach Mike Brown addressed the matter while joining Damon Bruce on 95.7 Dubs Radio.

“One of things for sure is that I know I'm coaching until he tells me — he or [president of basketball operations and general manager] Bob Myers — tells me otherwise,” Brown said. “But having said that, he's been looking good.”

“He's had a couple of really good days here and there, but who knows how he will feel going forward. We all want him back on the sidelines. He wants to be back on the sidelines.”

“He's such a — he looks like he's clean cut, blonde hair, blue eye, all-American type guy — but oh my gosh, he's got a grittiness a toughness. He's got a passion in him that comes out — especially now [during] playoff time ... and he definitely wants to be out there because he's just so competitive and it's been tough on him like it would be tough on anyone else.”

“So, we're hoping. We're praying and we'll see if it can happen.”
