Warriors dismantle up-and-coming team for 2nd time in as many games
Golden State makes quick work of Philly as Orlando awaits
Just like the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Philadelphia 76ers are a young team on the up-and-up.
And just like the Timberwolves, the Sixers learned the hard way that being down by a point at halftime means nothing against the defending champs.
On Wednesday night, the Warriors blistered the Timberwolves with 44 points in the third quarter. It was more of the same against the Sixers as they outscored them 36-21 in the frame, fueled by a 20-4 run.
That was all she wrote as the Warriors won their sixth-straight game — all by double-digits — with a 135-114 victory. Kevin Durant was in attack mode after missing the Timberwolves game with a thigh contusion, however, he really got going after Sixers center Joel Embiid started yapping.

Durant finished with 29 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Curry finished with 22 points and nine assists and sat out another fourth quarter, but he did have a scare early in the first when he tried to fight through a Ben Simmons’ screen.

Teamwise, the Warriors still need to work on their ball security. That is the one major flaw hindering them from playing perfect basketball as they finished the night with 23 turnovers.
But other than that, the Warriors took the Sixers to the circus in the second half, clowning them with plays like this:

Shaun Livingston also wanted in on the highlights, delivering this gem here:

A day after Embiid said he was going to kick Draymond Green’s ass, as always, the Defensive Player of the Year had the last word:

Embiid afterward spoke about the words he had with Green’s teammate, Kevin Durant.

The Warriors will look to continue to roll Monday night against another up-and-coming team, the Orlando Magic.
