The Oakland A's added to their stable of young talent on Sunday morning, sending Sean Doolittle and Ryan Madson to the Washington Nationals for a trio of players:

While Treinan will fill one of the vacancies in the bullpen, the other opening will go to Simon Castro, who was summoned from the Triple-A Nashville Sounds.

Treinan, who owned a 5.73 ERA in 37 outings for Washington, was an originally a 2011 A's draft pick. The club shipped him to the nation's capital in a 2013 trade.

MLB.com dubbed Neuse as the sixth-best prospect in Washington's farm system, while Luzardo ranked No. 10.
