Rockets owner calls Warriors the ‘greatest team ever’

Fertitta: ‘If you’re not obsessed with beating them, why are we playing every year?’

Less than a couple of weeks after Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey admitted that his team is “obsessed” with beating the Warriors, the club’s owner, Tilman Fertitta, addressed that comment in an appearance on “Mornings W/ Joe, Lo & Dibs.”

“The bottomline is, though, is that it’s true,” Fertitta told Joe Fortenbaugh and Lorenzo Neal. “Because if you’re not obsessed with beating them, why are we playing every year?”

“I mean, what has happened out there is that y’all have put together an unbelievable superteam. I think the greatest team ever. And so, if we’re not obsessed with trying to beat y’all, why are we playing every year?”
