Report: Marlins hire Warriors' chief marketing officer for executive role

Bowers will serve as president of business operations in Miami

Chip Bowers, the Warriors' chief marketing officer, is reportedly leaving Golden State to join the Miami Marlins, according to Bloomberg.

Bowers, who was in his fifth season as Dubs' CMO, will report to part-owner and chief executive officer Derek Jeter. With the National League club, Bowers will be in charge of a slew of projects including boosting revenue, finding naming rights for Marlins Park and securing a new local TV contract.
