Report: JaVale McGee is 'not happy' with the Warriors

Backup big man not pleased with how the offseason has played out

Backup center and Oracle Arena cult hero JaVale McGee is reportedly less than thrilled with how the NBA offseason has played out.

Marcus Thompson II of The Mercury News provides the specifics regarding the reserve center, who remains an option for the club's bench:

"At this point, the best recourse is bringing back JaVale McGee. But one source said he is not happy with the Warriors for not giving him a shot at the starting slot and giving all of the mid-level to free agent guard Nick Young. McGee believed his play this season earned him more minutes and money, and is looking for that on the market."

Young cashed in a one-year, $5.2 million deal, and the Warriors will now only be able to offer McGee the veteran's minimum. Assistant general manager Larry Harris told 95.7 The Game that such an offer is already on the "table."

For Young's part, the new bench Dub seems to be hoping that JaVale will be joining him in Golden State, tweeting that he won't pick his number until he finds out if McGee will once again be wearing No. 1:
