Tim Lincecum, the former two-time Cy Young Award winner, will be throwing for scouts next Thursday, which was news to Madison Bumgarner, his former rotation mate.

Speaking at Giants’ media day on Friday, MadBum said he hasn’t been in touch with Lincecum recently.

“I haven’t. No. I didn’t even know that, actually,” Bumgarner said, referring to the upcoming showcase.

Lincecum, a three-time World Series champ, hasn’t pitched in the majors since throwing nine starts for the Los Angeles Angels in 2016. He hasn’t been a Giant since the seasons prior.

“I don’t have social media. So…I’m not in the know,” Bumgarner continued. “But I hope he does good. He’s certainly one of the best talents this game’s seen for a few years. If he can regain that, that will be pretty special.”
