At times it was downright ugly and it felt strange without Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving playing in this Christmas Day extravaganza.

However, the intensity was up and the Oracle faithful were amped from the start as the Golden State Warriors outlasted the Cleveland Cavaliers, 99-92.

Also, the people got what they paid towards the end of the game: Kevin Durant vs. LeBron James.

Was this is a foul? You be the judge:

I don’t think this was a foul at all, but don’t tell that to King James.

Your thoughts, Durant?

Yes! The two best players in the league not agreeing on something. However, let’s focus on Durant, and just don’t look at his statline (25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 assists).

How sick is it that Durant is not only playing an MVP level, but he’s also in the running for the Defensive Player of the Year award. Coming to Golden State has turned Durant into an absolute monster on the defensive end.

Thank Ron Adams and Mike Brown.

I can’t write this article without mentioning Draymond Green. He messed around and dropped a triple-double (12 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists), and started this insane sequence midway through the fourth quarter that nearly blew the top off of Oracle Arena:

Oh, and he had this great quote about the fireworks in the first quarter:

These teams will again on Martin Luther King Day, so expect the intensity to rise the second time around. But on this Merry day, the Warriors win, Cavs lose.
