Hall of Famer and 49ers legend Jerry Rice dropped by “The Damon Bruce Show” on Friday afternoon and offered up his opinion on Jimmy Garoppolo’s record-setting $137.5 million deal with the 49ers.

“He brought something really special to the Niners,” Rice said on 95.7 The Game. “And I think people wanted to go back to that stadium, Levi’s Stadium, and watch this guy. So, it’s well deserved and I’m glad to have him sign for about five years.”

Rice went on to say that he loves Jimmy G’s energy and the experience has gained while studying under Tom Brady.

“I think he makes everybody better on that football team,” Rice said. “And I think it’s money well spent, but he’s going to bring something to the San Francisco 49ers next year and I think it’s going to be a better football team.”
