Giants reportedly offering top 4 prospects, $250 million for NL MVP

Two-time World Series champ Hunter Pence has joined the Giants team of Giancarlo Stanton recruiters, firing off the following tweet:

The addition of Stanton could put a major dent in Pence's playing time in 2018, as the pair of vets are both right fielders by trade. Dating back to the end of the season, manager Bruce Bochy has implied that Pence could be headed for a part-time role in left field, with or without a Stanton swoop.

Dexter Fowler, whose Cardinals are also chasing Stanton, pointed out the folly of Pence's tweet:

Earlier on Tuesday, a report sufaced that the club is willing to part with its top four prospects and $250 million for the NL MVP.
