Former Giant great and Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda was rushed to a Bay Area hospital on Monday night, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Cepeda was at a golf course in Fairfield when the incident took place. The Chronicle provides details of the situation, per the Giants:

“Team spokeswoman Staci Slaughter said late Monday night she had no information on Cepeda’s condition or the nature of his illness, but it is believed to be serious.

She said family members were gathering at the hospital. A Giants spokesman at spring training in Scottsdale, Ariz., said any further updates would come from team officials in San Francisco.”

Cepeda, 80, was inducted into Cooperstown in 1999 and his No. 30 was retired by the Giants.
