As I made my way out of my 1992 Cadillac Seville in the Levi’s Stadium parking lot my expectations were low due to all the numerous calls and texts and people complaining about the experience at the 49ers’ home park.

I had preconceived notions on what I was about to witness. As I laid eyes on what is one of the most beautiful monuments in my lifetime I couldn’t take my eyes off the HUGE BEAUTIFUL HD SCREENS on the humongous stadium walls making it fan friendly for the tailgaters getting ready for the game.

As I made my trek to the stadium I willingly gave myself up to the sea of red which almost seemed surreal.  My breath was taken away and I liked it. Like a child admiring his new toy I thought how have I’ve not been here?

Now I make my trek inside the  stadium and two weeks from visiting Jerry World in Big D Levi’s almost made me forget.

So much history, glass and crystal. So much newness around me I couldn’t ignore the prestigious feel Levi’s had and the look of pride on the faces of fans.

The concessions stands felt like restaurants. Everything seemed to be about the consumer. On top of that it seemed like the goal was not to have fans wait long in lines. As I turned my head, I was provided a constant reminder of the team's rich history at every turn.

Like Arnold Schwarzenegger, I’ll be back.

When I hear or get another negative call or text about Levi’s I will defend it with so much passion. It was truly a beautiful stadium and experience from a guy rooting for the other team.

I know the team is not winning as of right now but here’s a tip of the cap to the Niners ownership for building a monument in Santa Clara...so for now please put some respek on Levi’s name.
