Two-time all-star and Warriors legend Baron Davis dropped by “Mornings W/ Joe, Lo & Dibs” on 95.7 The Game on Monday to discuss his old club.

Asked about the trend of current Dubs being willing to accept less money to keep the group in tact, Davis spoke to the uniqueness of that unselfishness.

“That's why they're the champs,” Davis told Joe Fortenbaugh, Lorenzo Neal and Dan Dibley. “And that's why they've been an example of how an organization, a team, how you're supposed to play, how you're supposed to run.”

Klay Thompson is the latest Warrior to at least suggest he'd be open to taking a pay cut when his next deal is up.

“So, it doesn't surprise me that Klay, being who he is and secure within himself, he knows a good opportunity and a great opportunity when he has one,” Davis said. “And he's still the man on the team.”

“So, they don't lose anything and they all want to play together with each other. They all want to get better and that's the sign of a championship team.”
