The Oakland A's and San Francisco Giants released their 2018 schedules on Tuesday morning and both Bay Area clubs are set to begin next season on March 29.

The A's will host the Los Angeles Angels to begin the year, while the Giants will visit the Dodgers for the first of six series with their southern neighbors.

On April 17, the A's will make what the team believes is history, offering fans with the chance to attend the first free standalone game when they host the Chicago White Sox at 7:05 p.m. that night. The date makes the 50th aniversary of when the inaugural game at the Coliseum was played.

The green and gold and orange and black meet for the Bay Bridge Series starting July 13 at AT&T Park. The clubs play three days in a row before the All-Star break and then resume the second half with a three-game set at the Coliseum, beginning on July 20.
