Late in the second quarter on Monday night, Kevin Durant authored a sequence that few players in the NBA can.

With the help of Kevon Looney, Durant blocked Aaron Gordon and secured the rebound in one motion. The Finals MVP then cruised up the court, crossed over Gordon and knocked down a long 2-pointer.

Afterward, Durant called the play “normal” but admitted he loves capping a defensive stand with an offensive highlight.

“Oh yeah. Yeah,” Durant said. “It’s just momentum. You want to have those big momentum plays that will get the crowd into it — especially at home.”

“They get the crowd into it and I felt the energy from my teammates, from the crowd, from the coaching staff. That was a good sequence. I needed that one as well…just to juice me up a little bit more.”
